Biden Withstand His Opinion That Beijing’s Leader Was A Dictator
Date : 16th November, 2023
THE SOIL – After holding direct summit talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, U.S. President Joe Biden stated on Wednesday that he had not changed his opinion that Beijing’s leader was essentially a dictator.
After four hours of meetings with Xi at a secluded location outside of San Francisco, Biden conducted a lone press conference. He was asked if he still believed, as he had in June, that Xi was a dictator after the press conference.

China Strongly Against The Comments
China’s foreign ministry responded by stating that he “strongly opposes” the comments, but it did not specifically identify Biden.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday during a regular briefing, foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said, “This statement is extremely wrong and irresponsible political manipulation.”
When over 3,000 members of China’s rubber-stamp parliament, the National People’s Congress, voted overwhelmingly in favour of Xi in an election when there was no other candidate, Xi secured a third term as president last March.
After strengthening his hold on the military and policy-making for ten years while restricting media freedoms, Xi is regarded as the most powerful Chinese leader since Mao Zedong.
