THE SOIL – Following his endorsement of an antisemitic conspiracy theory earlier this week—the most recent in a long line of his echoing anti-Jewish hatred dating back years—tech billionaire Elon Musk faced a third day of criticism on Friday from Jewish leaders, the White House, and media advertisers including Disney and Apple.
“You have said the actual truth,” Musk commented in response to a user who had implied that Jews detested White people and had shown a lack of concern for antisemitism.
For months now, Musk and the ADL have been at odds over the latter’s attempts to curb extremism on social media
'Musk Is Acting Dangerously', Says ADL CEO
ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt stated on Thursday morning that Musk was acting dangerously.
As the criticism continued on Friday, the White House added its disagreement, alleging that “Musk had encouraged ‘antisemitic and racist hate’ against our core values as Americans.”
Accounts that have a history of promoting anti-Semitic beliefs hailed Musk’s tweet as good news and evidence that he shares their views.

Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, a rocket firm, and the automaker Tesla, criticised the Anti-Defamation League, or ADL, a Jewish-founded organisation that fights antisemitism, in a tweet that followed his initial one.
On Thursday, IBM announced that it has stopped using X for its marketing. Advertisements from IBM and other firms were running on X next to pro-Nazi content, according to a recent study by the progressive organisation Media Matters.
A person with intimate information also claims that the Walt Disney Company is holding off on spending on X. The New York Times first announced its decision. Through spokesmen, two additional media companies, Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount Global, announced their own pause late on Friday.
