Big Gap Between Manchester United 0-3 Manchester City Clubs
Date : 30th October, 2023
THE SOIL – If the previous season gave fans reason to believe that United, under Erik ten Hag’s leadership, was moving forward and winning a trophy after winning the Carabao Cup and qualifying for the Champions League, then this one is beginning to look like a swift and sad decline.
Manchester City’s 3-0 victory at Old Trafford never makes United or their supporters happy, but when it comes at the expense of their rivals, it makes the distance between them even more apparent.

Old Trafford Was Almost Empty
United’s supporters had enough after Phil Foden scored City’s third goal ten minutes from time, with Erling Haaland setting up the previous two goals. This was evident by the haste with which they were leaving the stadium. At least those that stayed were likely to have avoided the worst of the traffic.
When referee Paul Tierney blew his final whistle, Old Trafford was almost empty, save for the sound of exuberant City supporters in one corner enjoying themselves immensely while mocking Ten Hag and his team.

Old Trafford Was Almost Empty
When United’s horrific display came to an end, Ten Hag, Harry Maguire, and Tierney were likely discussing City’s first-half penalty call when Rasmus Hojlund fouled Rodri. However, their complaints sounded incredibly baseless in light of what had transpired at Old Trafford.
The morning began with a moving remembrance of the late Sir Bobby Charlton, with a massive mosaic dedicated to his memory being placed atop the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand.
What happened next was an infuriating display of how much better City is than United. These are troubling times for Ten Hag and Manchester United after those encouraging indicators from the previous season, which included a Premier League victory at Old Trafford against City.
