New Zealand faced Criticism After Losing to the Hosts France to Begin the Rugby World Cup
Date : 21st October, 2023
THE SOIL – After losing to the hosts France to begin the Rugby World Cup, New Zealand faced criticism; yet, with one more win, the All Blacks may win a record-breaking fourth championship.
The All Blacks advanced to a record-tying fifth final after thrashing Argentina 44-6 in the semifinals on Friday.
A few weeks prior to the event, South Africa had crushed them 35-7, and after that, Les Tricolores had defeated them 27-13 to record their first-ever pool stage loss, onlookers had written them off.

Next Weekend's Final Will see England or South Africa
Captain Sam Cane stated, “We have gotten pretty good at blocking out criticism and stuff, outside noise. We have complete faith in the coaching staff and the plan. We seem to have progressed well thus far.”
Next weekend’s final will see England or South Africa, the reigning champions who are also vying for a fourth title, await New Zealand. This Saturday is their semifinal.

Will Jordan Added a Spectacular Hat Trick to the Score
It was unclear going into the semifinal matchup against Argentina if the All Blacks could sustain the kind of physical and mental toughness that had allowed them to overcome Ireland in the quarterfinals. They succeeded in defeating an Argentina team attempting to make their first final.
With 195 total tackles, the All Blacks’ defence against the Pumas only missed 10 in the first half, accounting for 121 of those total. That tired the Pumas, who gave it their all against the All Blacks but were 20-6 adrift at halftime and all but out of the game.
As the game entered the second half, the All Blacks showed why they were a team unforgiving by building well-executed offensive plays and overwhelming the Pumas until they were forced to submit. As the final quarter approached, their lead grew to 39–6, and their winger, Will Jordan, added a spectacular hat trick to the score.
Jordan is Leading the Competition Scoreboard
Jordan was given a fourth chance to score throughout the game, but Richie Mo’unga chose to carry the ball individually rather than use the numerical advantage. The other team, though, quickly tackled him.
With a remarkable eight tries, Jordan is undoubtedly leading the competition scoreboard at this point. This accomplishment is a reflection of the enduring single-tournament record, which was first set in 1995 by Jonah Lomu and subsequently held by Bryan Habana in 2007 and Julian Savea in 2015. It’s important to remember that Jordan still has the last game left in front of him, therefore his trip is not yet over.
Jordan Demonstrated his Abilities Sprinting 105 Metres Across the Pitch
Jordan’s incredible stats while wearing the All Blacks jersey include an incredible 31 tries in 30 games. He demonstrated his abilities on Friday by sprinting 105 metres across the pitch. He completed three successful line breaks, seven ball carries and three successful tackle avoidances during the game.
“Argentina’s Emiliano Boffelli opened the game with a penalty kick, setting up the most lopsided semi-final result since 1987, when eventual champions New Zealand easily defeated Wales 49–6. This happened immediately after they put in a great deal of effort during 14 phases in the first two minutes of play.”
The head of the Argentine team, Julian Montoya, likewise voiced his respect for New Zealand’s clinical effectiveness.

Barrett Given a Yellow Card for a Willful Infraction at the Ruck
Scott Barrett’s brief suspension soured New Zealand’s otherwise outstanding performance. With just 15 minutes left, Barrett was given a yellow card for a willful infraction at the ruck. They did, however, continue to play by the rules, giving up just three penalties in the first half and seven in total during the entire game.
The All Blacks quickly eased any early tension, which created an unusually subdued atmosphere at the Stade de France, a stadium that used to host wild Ireland matches full of 40,000 ardent Irish fans cheering their team on or hopeful fans of France, a team that has made it to the finals three times.
