"I Cannot Take Care of My Family From a Distance" Says Jones
“I just want to say that I have so much love and respect for the Ford Family, the city of Detroit, my teammates and coaches,” he stated in the message. “In a nutshell, I’m leaving the team to attend to personal family problems. I cannot take care of my family from a distance and be the player/person that I need to be for this team, even if this was not an easy decision to make.”
